I was shocked when I saw Jen's blog this morning and realized it was Friday already. I have been out of sorts all week, forgetting what day it is. It doesn't help that I've been under the weather, also, with no energy to do anything. Especially think.

Yes, I picked up the cough that the kids have. I suppose there are worse ailments, but this one just doesn't seem to go away. They've been coughing for a couple of weeks now, or more. Yesterday I picked up some expectorants to make those coughs more, ah, productive.

As a consequence of sickness and lethargy our schoolwork has been rather haphazard the past couple of weeks. Before, because they didn't feel like doing it, and now, because I don't feel like doing it.
Where are the substitute teachers when you need them?

I have a big AHG training session scheduled for tomorrow morning and I don't think it's going to happen! I'm afraid I'm a little contagious, but even if I'm not, my voice won't last for 3 hours of non-stop talking!

That seems to be enough thinking for today---see the question mark in the title? I didn't think I'd last for 7. I'm going to spend another day curled up in my recliner with a sock.

Y'all have a great Friday. Go visit Jen for people who have the energy to post Seven Quick Takes instead of just 5.
It's 7:37 and I need a nap.
Leave room on the sofa -- I'm squeezin' in. ;-)

My school weeks have been going down hill recently with the advent of sick season too. We're sort of on our maintenance plan with more educational videos than usual thrown in.
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better soon!
So.. no training tomorrow?!
ReplyDeleteLet me know! I hope you feel better soon. I know it must be awful to feel so badly when we're having this amazing good weather.
if any one kid has been coughing for more than a week (or you) they need to see a doctor. It might have moved into bronchitis (like mine did) and require antibiotics. especially if it's that bone rattling dry hacky tickle cough till you puke kind of cough...if you know what I mean.
