I have two projects to show you this week. This chunky, mulberry cowl which I may keep for myself or put it in the shop. I just love this color!
The Cat in the Hat book-blankey is for the Nest Egg Knits shop. I've been working on this one after dinner while we do our Advent readings and talk. It's so chunky and cozy! I can't think of anything sweeter than cuddling up with a little person, this blanket, and a book. Yum.
I'm joining Ginny and friends at Small Things. Go see what everyone else is knitting and reading!
I like that color too. Very wintery!
ReplyDeleteI just finished knitting my first blanket and had the hardest time blocking it. In fact, I'm sure I did it wrong. It has stripes, but I had the hardest time getting them straight, as well as the edges. Any suggestions? I am about ready to toss it in the drier!
Stripes are hard to block; I'm not sure I have any tips other than blocking it on a mat with lines. Acrylic doesn't usually need to be blocked, so it depends what it's made of. I look forward to seeing it!
DeleteI love both of your projects! The cowl looks like it would be real warm.
ReplyDeleteThank you! It is a very cozy cowl--definitely for the cooler days.
DeleteI've never heard of something like a Dr. Seuss inspired blanket but I love the idea and I am in love with the colours! That is so cool, thanks for sharing! Happy knitting!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteI have not been able to knit or crochet is so long. I miss it terribly! I can't wait to see your Cat in the Hat book-blankey!
ReplyDeleteIf you look up on the right side-bar, there's a thumbnail of the other Cat in the Hat blanket that is in the shop. This one will be the same except chunky! Yum!
